Dick Morris Comes to Little Rhody
Dick Morris, Fox News Commentator & Political Pundit

September 29th, 2008
Every Candidate needs some good advice.  Mark has benefited greatly from an early introduction to Author, Fox News Commentator, and longtime Political Hand, Dick Morris.

It was Morris who first explained how the high price of energy was related to a speculative bubble and not to the underlying economic forces.  This gave Mark the confidence to accurately predict that the prices could come down, but only if we looked at Market Causes, not just Suppy & Demand.

It was Morris who pointed out that the Russian invasion of Georgia was all about their interest in instability as a way to keep oil prices high.  He was also quick to analyze the potential downfall of that tactic as the world reacted to resist it.

Two weeks from Monday Dick Morris will join the Zaccaria Campaign for a face to face briefing, in Westerly.  You can be in the audience.  You can even have a photograph taken with your newest political advisor and receive a personally autographed copy of his latest book.

Why is Dick Morris interested in Mark Zaccaria's campaign for congress?  We hope it's because Mark is taking the right positions, in his opinion, and so can become part of the solution in Washington... Not jusr more of the same problem.

But, Hey.  You can ask him yourself.

Have you seen Dick on TV or heard him on Radio?  Have you wondered about the natural insights he seems to have about the process we're all trying to understand before we cast our votes in November?  Well, then, come listen to the briefing for yourself and ask him the questions you've been wondering about.

We are trying to create a community here, and we want it to be a community that's fit to lead.  To do that we are trying to bring people and ideas of interest into Rhode Island that will attract those of us who are willing to do the work to have good government.

Volume 1, Number 24

Friends & Neighbors,

This week we will concentrate on a series of organized fundraising events planned for my campaign.  Sure, it's about the money at some level.  Without money in the bank there will be no Air War in the last few weeks of the campaign.

It's about much more than that, though.  It's about Gravitational Influence.  It's about the perception that this first time congressional campaign might actually spark the interest of an electorate finally fed up with just More Of The Same.  It is about the attention to a winning message that might begin to accumulate when the voters take notice of this campaign, even if it's for some reason other than the message.

Readers of this Newsletter will know that the message has not changed.  If it is suddenly noticed by a large number of voters, though, the representative for this congressional district might change.

So there's more going on with these events than just a raid on your wallet.  What we - You and Me - are really trying to do here is to create a community.  We're trying to forge a cohesive group of like minded citizens who, together, will be the agent for change that this state and nation need.  Don't laugh.  It makes people think that you don't believe it really could start here and start with you.

Read on.  I hope you'll turn out for at least one of these upcoming fundraisers.  I hope you'll buy-in to the idea that things can change for the better if we change them.  When you do, I hope you'll join-in so our network is strengthened.  With your help, and with the help of everyone else that's in this with us, we will be fit to lead.

Sunday on Block Island

Get Your Island On...September 14th, 2008

Rhode Island is not the only Island in this state.  There are Patience and Prudence Islands.  There's Dutch Island and Goat Island, but the one that's probably most well known elsewhere in the country is Block Island.

This Sunday the MZD2 Campaign takes a cruise on the Block Island Ferry.  If you're one of those Rhode Islander's who've never actually been to the Island, don't admit that publicly.  Instead, show up for the 11:00am Ferry out of Point Judith and do some Politic-ing with Mark and the crew.  The tourists are mostly gone so join us for an uncrowded walking tour.  We will end up at the American Legion Hall for a Meet & Greet from 2:00pm to 4:00pm.  Admission is free but all contributions will be gratefully accepted.

Rhode Island's Second Congressional District is one of the most diverse in America.  It extends from the cityscape of Providence to the hard working urban centers of Cranston and Warwick, to the suburbs of South County, and to the rural wilds of Foster and Hope Valley.  And then there's Block Island.  It is a one-of-a-kind environment that's home to a unique community of Yankees who really know how to Liberate the Economy, especially during the warm weather.

As the Irish like to say, "Please join us, we're going to talk a little rebellion."  In this case we're going to talk a little Change, and still make the 5:00 O'clock boat home.
North Kingstown, Come On Down!

You Never Know Who'll Show Up at the O'Neill'sSeptember 18th, 2008

Next Thursday evening Gregg & Jen O'Neill will host an MZD2 Fundraiser in their home, in North Kingstown.

Gregg is a longtime member of the NKGOP and Jennifer is a financial professional who is also Mark's Campaign Treasurer. That combination makes success in the Second District a matter of family interest.

The O'Neill's have invited everyone on the block from their Shady Lea neighborhood.  Supporters from all around North Kingstown will also be turning out to wish Mark well in the home stretch of this campaign.  And, although you almost have to be a Townie to find Shady Lea, the invitation is open to anyone who want's to explore South County just a little.

Their address is 143 Country Hill Lane, in NK 02852.  You can let Google Maps do the rest.  There is no charge for admission but it is a fundraiser, folks, so please bring your checkbook.  The fun starts at 6:00pm.  If you get lost you can call Jen & Gregg at 294-8143.

But, Please.  Don't get Lost.  We want to see everyone there!

Probably every one of us is Fit to Lead.  Still, no one of us ever gets the chance here in America unless a lot of similarly qualified voters get behind them and make it a team effort.  And  that's where we are as we take the last turn in this race and head toward the Finish Line.

If you agree that you want to be represented in Congress by someone who's been where you've been and knows what you know, it's time to join in and help out.  If you sense that as a nation we've gone past the time to trim government's sails and leave some of the wind for the rest of us to enjoy, then you might be a Zaccaria Supporter.  If you realize that representing half a million people in Congress takes real world experience and some serious vigor, of the kind Mark has, then the rest of us need you to join this workout to reduce the weight of government that we all bear.

We vote with our money.  We vote with our feet.  We vote with our Mark Z 4 RIBallots.  I could really use you to vote for me with all three, so I hope I'll see you at one of these upcoming events.  Because if you do vote for me, I'll get the chance to go to Washington and Vote for You.

Sincerely,

Mark Zaccaria
